The bank was incorporated in 2008 and is duly licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria as a microfinance bank.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Internal Audit Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 


  • Proper knowledge of the bank’s policies, processes and procedures.
  • Carries out periodic value-added and risk-based audits in all the departments and branches at least once a year to ensure strict adherence to the bank’s Internal Policies and Procedures.
  • Carry out physical verification of assets and reconciles with records maintained in the bank.
  • Ensure prevention and early detection of fraud.
  • Carry out holistic investigations on frauds and irregularities detected.
  • Timely visit & Quality Report of snap checks carried out on at least 30-50 customers/Outlets.
  • Carry out effective and error-free Call Over.
  • Produce timely audit reports to the Head, Internal Audit
  • Carry out daily call-over postings and reconciliations
  • Confirm all fees and commissions paid and earned so as to identify outstanding (if any).
  • Comply with relevant accounting standards.
  • Confirms IT backup, both on-sight and off-sight and reviews backup register.
  • Verifies asset existence/reviews Asset Register.

Relevant Skills, Qualifications, Attributes & Experience

  • HND / University Degree in Banking & Finance or Accounting.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in financial services.
  • Student Member of Professional body e.g. ACCA, ICAN, ANAN.
  • Candidate must be between 24 - 30 years of age (age should be clearly stated on cv).
  • Detail-oriented and strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Knowledge of the banking regulations and laws.
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications Excel /Microsoft Office/Banking Application
  • Good written and oral communication.
  • Highly attentive to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and problem-solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment, consistently adhering to deadlines and evolving priorities.
  • Unquestionable integrity and high level of commitment.
  • Cognate experience in a microfinance bank.
  • Knowledge of control and risk self-assessment facilitation techniques.
  • Knowledge of the environment, regulations, and laws.
  • Familiarity with the common indicators of fraud.

2.) Trainee Loan Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The Trainee Loan Officer is an entry-level position with the responsibility to generate new businesses and deepen customers’ experience in our Retail & Micro-Enterprises group.
  • Selected candidates will undergo an intensive, structured and competency-building program comprising both classroom and on-the-job training to equip them for top-level performance.

Responsibilities

  • Sell loan and deposit products to new customers by direct prospecting
  • Actively cross-sell products to existing and new customers.
  • Ensure loan requests are packaged in line with the credit policy & procedures of the bank
  • Advise clients on suitable financial services /products for their needs
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers on all service inquiries.
  • Build and maintain productive business relationships with clients
  • Monitor the loan portfolio and follow up on repayment.
  • Stay up-to-date with Clients' needs and Industry trends.

Qualifications

  • HND /Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of Lower Credit/Second Class Lower and must have concluded NYSC.

3.) Finance Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Daily Reconciliation of Correspondence Bank Account Positions.
  • Raising Journal Entries to update inflow and outflow of funds within all Correspondent Banks.
  • Liquidity managment.
  • Monthly remittances of Tax deductions for both Federal and Lagos State Tax Authorities.
  • Maintenance of all Financial Documents.
  • Preparation of Monthly Depreciation Schedule of the Banks’ Fixed Assets and monthly amortization of outstanding prepared expenses.
  • To produce monthly, quarterly, half yearly financial reports of the organisation.
  • Monitor budget preparation and ensure proper monitor of performance and report any derivation from plan.
  • Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting procedures and investment activities.
  • Preparation of Month End Reconciliation of Correspondent Bank Account Positions.
  • Keeping Track of Banks’ Investments in Treasury Bills, Time Deposits and Call Deposits and ensurring approval is obtained from the Head, Finance for either rollover or liquidation at Maturity.
  • Daily Review of General Ledgers.
  • Involved in budget preparation and implementation.

Relevant Skills, Qualifications, Attributes & Experience

  • HND / University Degree in Banking & Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in financial services
  • Student Member of Professional body e.g. ACCA, ICAN , ANAN
  • IFRS experience is strongly desired
  • Knowledge of the banking regulations and laws
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications Excel /Microsoft Office/Banking Application
  • Good written and oral communication
  • Candidate must be between 24 – 30 years of age (age should be clearly stated on cv)
  • Detail-oriented and strong planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, numerical and analytical skills
  • Highly attentive to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills
