We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Backend Software Engineer

Job Location: Nigeria (Remote)
Employment type: Full-time


Here are some things you'll do

  • Build out backend functionality for existing and new product lines such as Credit, Wallet, Bill Pay, and others.
  • Integrate with various third-party systems, including payment systems, identity providers, and messaging platforms.
  • Scale our backend services and pipelines to ever-growing levels of traffic and complexity.
  • Help build flexible and easy-to-use tools used by our operations teams to handle customer inquiries and other business processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • You have strong experience (4+ years) in building backend software for web-based or mobile products.
  • You are an excellent collaborator and communicator. You listen to others and seek to understand, but aren’t afraid to speak your mind and debate respectfully when you disagree. 
  • You are excited by the prospect of working in a distributed team and company with teammates from all over the world.

Preferred Requirements:

  • You have a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals, distributed systems, data storage, and agile development methodologies.

2.) DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

  • Branch is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure and DevOps operations.
  • In this role, you will oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of our AWS-based infrastructure, ensuring seamless orchestration of workloads across Kubernetes and serverless environments like AWS Lambda.
  • You will play a pivotal role in automating processes, enhancing system reliability, and driving the adoption of DevOps best practices. 
  • Collaborating closely with our Engineering, Product, and Data teams, you’ll contribute to scaling our infrastructure and supporting our rapid growth. 
  • This position offers a unique opportunity to refine your technical expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using best practices and modern tools, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Manage and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes to maintain high availability and performance.
  • Build, monitor, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows and accelerate deployments.
  • Continuously monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Implement security best practices, including IAM configurations, VPC design, and automated compliance checks, to safeguard infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide infrastructure support and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring knowledge-sharing across the team.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure architecture, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps or a similar role, with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and automation.
  • Extensive experience working with AWS, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and ECS.
  • Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure as code, with a deep understanding of best practices for managing cloud resources.
  • Expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters, including deployment, scaling, and maintenance of containerized applications.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or similar, to automate tasks and workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline to streamline deployments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch to ensure system reliability.
  • Strong understanding of security principles, including IAM policies, secrets management, and compliance enforcement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Enthusiasm for working across cultures, functions, and time zones to drive alignment and deliver results.
  • A passion for mentoring and supporting junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

3.) Business Development Lead

Job Location: Lagos
Employment type: Contract
Duration: 6 months

Job Overview

  • We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Lead to lead the growth of our credit products targeting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and individual customers across Nigeria. 
  • This role will be crucial in expanding our market presence by selling our innovative financial solutions, including personal / salary loans and personal finance products. 
  • The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Nigerian credit market, a proven track record in business development, and the ability to forge strong relationships with SMEs and individual clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the SME sector and among individual clients
  • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive the adoption of Branch’s credit products such as personal loans for business expansion uses and other financial offerings
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, sales performance and market insights
  • Conduct presentations, workshops and events to showcase Branch’s credit solutions to potential clients and partners
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with SMEs, business owners and individual clients to drive product adoption and customer retention
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions that align with Branch’s product offerings
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key organizations, trade associations and industry influencers to expand Branch’s market reach
  • Achieve and surpass sales target and contribute to the overall performance of Branch
  • Ensure superior customer experience by providing comprehensive support throughout the sales process and beyond
  • Act as brand ambassador for Branch, promoting our values and commitment to financial inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in business development, sales or a similar role within the financial services or fintech industry
  • Demonstrated success in selling credit products, particularly to SMEs and individual customers in Nigeria
  • In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian credit market and its regulatory framework
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and presentations skills
  • Proven ability ro build and sustain relationships with clients and strategic partners
  • Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • You are highly entrepreneurial.
