Role


  • We are looking to grow our sales team with ambitious & performance driven sales professionals within the Supply/Value Chain, Education, Hospitality/Travels & Tours, & Foods/Night Life sectors who will be integral to helping Brass grow and becoming a leader in digital business banking.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire businesses within the FMCG , Manufacturing, Education, Hospitality/Travels & Tours, & Foods/Night Life sectors and drive them for optimum performance.
  • Manage new & existing business relationships for optimum results.
  • Identify the needs of businesses & recommend the appropriate Brass product.
  • Upsell & cross sell Brass’ products to customers.
  • Translate business needs into prioritized product development.

About You

  • You have at least a Bachelor's Degree.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in Sales (Corporate or Commercial Banking, FMCG , Manufacturing, Education, Hospitality/Travels & Tours, & Foods/Night Life sectors).

Job Position: Head of Marketing

Introduction

Role

  • Are you a resilient leader who is passionate about continual improvement and has a sound understanding of the customer attention and retention process within the African markets?
  • We are currently seeking a Head of Marketing & Partnerships who is driven, analytical yet creative – a data-driven person who can use technology to build and manage a comprehensive marketing strategy, while at the same time leveraging their keen eye for design to become the custodian of everything that makes Brass special.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline to successfully meet revenue targets within the African market.
  • Develop and monitor Brass’s growth strategy for all stages in the funnel (marketing, sales, acquisitions), including defining a roadmap for each marketing channel and maintaining consistent sales activity year round
  • Oversee all online marketing efforts (SEM/SEO, social media, email, blogs, ads, traditional media) and offline marketing efforts (agency, terminals, business development related events/functions etc)
  • Oversee and ensure an efficient customer onboarding process and handoff to the Customer Success team
  • Develop a system to track conversion rates and measure progress against goals, constantly looking to eliminate bottlenecks, improve processes, and introduce creative ideas and solutions that are quickly tested and evaluated
  • Manage the growth team (marketing & sales) to coordinate and execute the strategy, providing incentives and inspiration to keep them energized and motivated, as well as the structure and support needed to reach targets
  • Provide customer insight to the larger team by blending data with a deep understanding of user needs, habits, and perceptions developed through targeted interviews, usability studies, and customer feedback as they relate to the African market.
  • Identify customer personas and translate outcomes into external messaging and communications
  • Balance business goals and revenue targets with business outcomes and customer experience
  • Communicate strategies and results to the Brass leadership team on a consistent basis.

About You

  • You have recent experience using email marketing software and ad platforms such as Google Ads and Facebook Business Suite.
  • You have at least 5 to 7 years experience in growth marketing, growth hacking, or sales leadership role.
  • You have proven experience in setting, executing, and iterating a growth strategy especially within Africa.
  • You have proven experience in scaling customer acquisition, activation, and retention while limiting costs and maximizing lifetime value.
  • You have proven experience in building, leading, and managing a team of marketers and sales persons within Africa.
  • You have proven experience in tracking analytics and exceeding sales KPIS.
  • You have proven experience in online acquisition tactics and best practices within Africa.
  • You are able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, dynamic, and ambiguous startup environment.
  • You can effectively identify opportunities and roll up your sleeves to make them happen; you’re not afraid of getting your hands dirty.

Job Position: Managing Editor

Job Location: Lagos

  • We’re looking for an experienced editor to help build the most influential business media network, and create content to help the most important stories of African entrepreneurs building the most enduring businesses on the continent.
  • We aim to connect African entrepreneurs with relevant insights and content they need to grow into globally successful businesses. This is why we need someone who is both analytical and deeply creative to take our content efforts to the next level.
  • As the Editor In Chief at Brass, you’ll operate on both tactical and strategic levels. On one hand, you’ll lead Brass’ entire content marketing production process, leading the media team, and working with several teams across the company to help use content to drive leads and deepen our relationship with specific groups of merchant categories.
  • With access to thousands of some of the most successful businesses in Africa, as well as Brass’ proprietary databases, you will have a strong foundation on which to build. But just as importantly, you’ll help fundamentally shape the story of entrepreneurship in Africa. Our job is to help them win, and that includes telling their story to local, regional, and global audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Brass entire content marketing strategy end-to-end, from ideas, to execution, to distribution. You’ll create and manage the editorial calendar of SEO-optimized articles, events, videos, podcasts etc. and ensure a steady publishing and recycling cadence.
  • Partner closely with the Communications/Marketing team to ensure that content is an important acquisition channel for our demand generation efforts. You’ll use content to nurture both prospective and existing customers through our growth loops.
  • Hire and coach members of the Brass Media team, and build a strong network of third party creatives and freelancers.
  • Monitor content engagement metrics to understand how well our content is finding new audiences, or contributing towards various business goals.
  • Write stories and copy where needed.
  • Direct the media team to support other teams within the company by line-editing company announcements to ensure they meet our brand and editorial standards.
  • Build relationships with press to ensure that Brass narratives find wide reach.
  • Amplify a culture of learning at Brass by sourcing a steady cadence of “how we built it” and domain expert content from team members.
