We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Senior Android Developer


Job Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Drive the direction of the mobile applications in the company to deliver robust, secure, and efficient experiences to make our customers happy.
  • Design, develop, and improve our Android applications across all popular devices.
  • Produce technical designs and lead developers during development.
  • Build up best practices around Android development, code reviews, and training.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • BSc / MSc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
  • At least 4 years of  software development experience and Android skills development
  • Experience building native apps in Android using Java (mandatory) and Kotlin
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have published at least one original Android app to the Play Store
  • Experience with Android and Firebase SDKs
  • Sound knowledge of Android components (Content providers, Broadcast receivers, services, activities, fragments, UI layouts, Intents ..)
  • Fast-paced and able to work to deadlines.

The following are optional but will enhance your chances of being selected:

  • Knowledge of at least one backend programming language
  • Ability to work with UX prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD, InvisionApp, etc
  • Knowledge of GIT
  • Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and/or other automated testing skills.
  • Overall software development experience of 5+ years
  • Agile Development experience.
  • Prior experience working with financial applications.

3.) Business Development Officer - SME (Loans)

Job Location: Lagos

About the Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional with a background in SME banking/lending and a proven track record of deal flow particularly in the retail and healthcare sectors for a contract position.
  • The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for identifying new business opportunities and loans, building relationships, and driving growth for Carbon Business.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the SME sector, particularly in retail and healthcare
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, including SME owners, entrepreneurs, and business professionals.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of deals, meeting monthly and quarterly targets
  • Conduct preliminary credit investigations to analyze applicants’ willingness and repayment capacity to determine the feasibility of granting loans.
  • Initiate and partner with reputable organizations to facilitate lending to their customers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit analysts and loan officers, to assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and structure loan proposals.
  • Monitor and manage existing loan portfolios to ensure timely repayment and mitigate credit risk.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of Carbon Business.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and performanceMetrics.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related field (e.g., finance, business, economics)
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in SME banking/lending, underwriting, sales, or business development within the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing business loans, particularly in the retail and healthcare sectors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as well as meet deadlines

4.) Accountant

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Experience in reconciling payment transactions on the NIBSS platform, Paystack, Interswitch, and debit cards - Visa/MC, etc
  • Strong analytical skills, including background in investigating financial data anomalies and identifying root causes
  • Knowledge of payment systems, settlement processes, and financial reporting frameworks.
  • Experience with core banking systems like Mifos is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA are a plus.
