We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Data Analyst

Job Location: Jimeta, Adamawa
Job Type: Full-time

Role Purpose 

• The Data Analyst will be responsible for data management, analysis, and presentation of both qualitative and quantitative data generated through the independent monitoring project.
• The role will ensure data quality, generate insights, and produce user-friendly outputs that inform adaptive programming and accountability to GIZ and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 
Data Management and Quality Assurance:

• Design, manage, and maintain project databases.
• Clean, validate, and verify data collected from field teams.
• Ensure data is anonymous and archived securely in compliance with data protection standards.
• Develop and implement data quality control protocols.

Data Analysis:

• Conduct statistical and qualitative analysis of monitoring data.
• Triangulate data from multiple sources (surveys, FGDs, KIIs, PDM, spot checks).
• Analyse inclusion/exclusion errors, beneficiary satisfaction, timeliness, and graduation indicators.
• Identify trends, risks, and anomalies that may affect program outcomes.

Data Visualisation and Reporting:

• Develop dashboards, charts, infographics, and other visual tools to present findings.
• Support the preparation of quarterly monitoring reports, technical briefs, and final reports.
• Generate thematic analyses (e.g., gender, disability, vulnerability status).
• Contribute to knowledge management and learning products.

Collaboration and Capacity Building:

• Work closely with the M&E Specialist, Project Manager, and Field Coordinator to align analysis with project objectives.
• Train enumerators and field staff on digital data collection and basic data quality protocols.
• Support CSO capacity-building sessions by demonstrating practical data analysis tools.

Project Deliverables:

• Cleaned and verified datasets from all monitoring activities.
• Regular analytical briefs highlighting key findings and trends.
• Data visualisations (dashboards, graphs, maps, infographics).
• Contributions to quarterly reports, PDM reports, and final project report.
• Documentation of lessons learned in data management and analysis.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Social Sciences, or related field (required).
• Professional certification in Data Analysis, M&E, or Data Science (desirable).

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management and analysis within development or humanitarian projects.
• Demonstrated experience working with international organisations.
• Strong track record of using statistical packages (SPSS or STATA) and qualitative analysis software (Atlas.ti.)
• Proficiency in digital data collection platforms (KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare).
• Experience producing data visualisations and dashboards (Excel, Power BI etc).
• Familiarity with social protection programmes, cash transfers, or livelihood monitoring is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to simplify complex findings.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
• Fluency in English required; knowledge of Hausa or other local languages is an asset.

Duration & Level of Effort:

• The role will be for an initial 6 months (full-time) with possibility of extension depending on performance.

Reporting Line:

• The Data Analyst will report directly to the Project Manager and work closely with the M&E Officer, other project staff, and GIZ technical teams.

2.) Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer

Job Location: Jimeta, Adamawa
Job Type: Full-time

Background 

• Unique Care and Support Foundation (CASFOD), with support from GIZ under the SEPIN-SUSI programme, is implementing independent monitoring of social protection interventions in Adamawa State. These include Social Register expansion, Graduation Approach, and Shock-Responsive Cash Transfers (SRCT).
• To ensure accountability, and adaptive learning, CASFOD is looking for a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer who will design and manage the M&E framework, oversee data collection processes, and ensure findings are translated into actionable recommendations.

Role Purpose 

• The M&E Officer will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing the project’s monitoring and evaluation framework.
• The role will ensure data quality, compliance with donor standards, and evidence generation to strengthen accountability and adaptive programming.

Key Responsibilities
Monitoring Framework and Tool Development:

• Lead the design and operationalisation of the Independent Monitoring Framework and inception plan.
• Develop and adapt monitoring tools (surveys, FGDs, KIIs, spot-check checklists, PDM questionnaires).
• Ensure tools are culturally appropriate, gender-sensitive, and ethically sound.

Data Collection and Quality Assurance:

• Supervise and provide technical guidance to enumerators and field staff during data collection.
• Ensure adherence to ethical protocols, including informed consent, confidentiality, and data protection.
• Conduct spot checks, back-checks, and data verification to maintain quality standards.
• Support integration of digital data collection platforms (KoboToolbox, ODK, CommCare).

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Work closely with the Data Analyst to ensure proper data cleaning, coding, and triangulation.
• Interpret monitoring data and generate insights for adaptive programming.
• Draft sections of technical reports (PDM reports, graduation monitoring, and quarterly monitoring reports).
• Support preparation of policy briefs, infographics, and knowledge products.

Capacity-Building and Learning:

• Provide training to enumerators and partner CSOs on M&E.
• Facilitate lessons-learned workshops and adaptive management sessions with project staff and stakeholders.
• Promote accountability by ensuring beneficiary feedback mechanisms are functional and documented.

Project Deliverables:

• Comprehensive M&E framework and inception report.
• Validated monitoring tools and protocols.
• High-quality data sets and quality assurance documentation.
• Monthly technical briefs on monitoring progress.
• Contributions to quarterly and final monitoring reports.
• Documentation of training sessions and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation within development/humanitarian projects.
• At least 2 years in a role specifically focused on M&E design and implementation.
• Proven experience with international or national organisations.
• Experience in social protection, cash transfer, or livelihoods monitoring desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise field data collection and ensure data quality.

3.) Project Manager

Job Location: Jimeta, Adamawa
Job Type: Full-time

Background 

• Unique Care and Support Foundation (CASFOD) is co-implementing independent monitoring of the SEPIN-SUSI programme (social register expansion, shock responsive cash transfer, and graduation approach) in Adamawa State with support from GIZ. The initiative seeks to enhance transparency, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making in the implementation of social protection interventions, including social register expansion, graduation approach, and shock-responsive cash transfers.
• To ensure effective coordination, leadership, and delivery of results, CASFOD is looking for a Project Manager to oversee the project implementation.

Role Purpose 

• The Project Manager will provide strategic leadership, technical oversight, and operational management of the independent monitoring initiative. The role will ensure alignment with GIZ donor requirements, supervise the project team, manage risks, and guarantee the delivery of high-quality monitoring outputs that contribute to improved social protection programming in Adamawa State.

Key Responsibilities 
Project Leadership and Coordinator:

• Provide overall leadership and direction for project implementation in line with the approved logical framework.
• Serve as the primary liaison between CASFOD, GIZ, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the development and operationalisation of the Independent Monitoring Framework and inception plan.
• Ensure project activities are implemented according to donor standards, CASFOD policies, and ethical guidelines. 

Technical Oversight:

• Supervise the design and validation of monitoring tools (surveys, FGDs, KIIs, PDM instruments).
• Ensure proper data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Oversee data quality assurance, triangulation, and evidence generation.
• Guide the production of technical reports, quarterly monitoring reports, and the final project report.

Team Management:

• Directly supervise the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, Field Coordinator, Data Analyst, and other project staff.
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and capacity development for project staff and local CSO partners.
• Ensure gender-sensitive and inclusive practices across the team.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, local authorities, CSOs, and community leaders in Adamawa State.
• Facilitate stakeholder consultations, roundtable discussions, and debriefing sessions.
• Ensure effective communication of findings to stakeholders in accessible formats (policy briefs, infographics, photo documentation).

Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning:

• Document lessons learned and best practices for institutional learning and advocacy.
• Support knowledge management and contribute to CASFOD’s organisational learning.

Project Deliverables:

• An approved inception report and monitoring framework.
• Monthly activity reports.
• Quarterly consolidated monitoring reports.
• Post-distribution monitoring (PDM) and graduation approach monitoring reports.
• Final project narrative report.
• Documentation of stakeholder meetings, roundtables, and CSO capacity-building sessions.

Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:

• Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Project Management, or related field (added advantage).
• Additional certification in Monitoring & Evaluation or Project Management (desirable).

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in project management within the development/humanitarian sector.
• At least 3 years of experience managing third-party monitoring, M&E, or accountability projects.
• Proven experience working with international donors.
• Strong technical background in monitoring methodologies (qualitative & quantitative).
• Familiarity with social protection systems, cash transfer programmes, and graduation/livelihoods approaches.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong people management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with experience producing donor-standard reports.
• Proficiency in data analysis software (SPSS, STATA, or qualitative analysis tools) and digital data collection platforms (ODK, KoboToolbox, CommCare).
• Fluency in English required; knowledge of Hausa and local languages in Adamawa is an asset.

Duration & Level of Effort:

• The role will be for an initial period of 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
• This is a full-time position based in Yola with frequent field travel across Adamawa State.
