1.) Fleet Supervisor

Job Description

  • The key purpose of this role is to design solid Fleet Management systems and processes by implementing quality maintenance schedules, mechanical and electrical repair works, including timely preventive maintenance & service schedule.

Key Outputs and Responsibilities

  • Reliability and quality of materials as well as workmanship of outside contractors and suppliers is assessed and poor quality addressed.
  • Minimum downtime and safety and reliability of all vehicles
  • Ensure the availability of fleet and allocate vehicles
  • Maintain and manage fleet database
  • Conduct fleet inspections and regular fleet audits
  • Advice to managers and staff on all transport related issues are given to improve service level and efficiency
  • Performance measures e.g. fuel consumption, spare parts, tyre and oil usage is analyzed monthly
  • Need for servicing and repairs are identified
  • Ensure sufficient basic stock is available for smooth running of all fleet
  • Monitor and manage fleet services and repairs
  • Develop a fleet contingency plan.

Key attributes and competencies:

  • The main role is to apply core competencies to achieve optimum plant and process performance.
  • Manage a process area according to VPO/DPO principles and standards
  • A logical, analytical problem solver who can operate in an unstructured environment.

Profile
Qualifications & Experience:

  • B. Sc / HND in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience
  • Fleet Maintenance & Management
  • Logistics for large scale operations
  • Computer literate, able to use power point, Excel, Word and able to compile, analyze and interpret fleet statistics
  • Problem solving.

2.) Brewing Area Manager

Purpose

  • The key purpose of this role is to safely lead and manage technical improvements to deliver the KPI’s as called out in the Manufacturing Strategy.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Brewery quality and taste targets are met
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to brewing levels 1, 2, 3
  • Ongoing optimization of brewing quality and production processes
  • Drive implementation of process and product optimisation including CAPin and VA projects and trials
  • Ensure overall reliability of production Process optimization and asset management and plant availability
  • Adherence to AB InBev and global brewing quality standards 
  • Ensure that brand and brewing process standards are met
  • Ensure that brewing technical and brand audits are conducted as per the QA audit schedule – and deviations identified and managed through the non-conformance management process
  • Tasting adherence and regional brewing best practice development as per the AB InBev standard.
  • Facilitate team problem solving and decision making
  • Ensure training need analyses are conducted and training plans developed for team members
  • Ensure appropriate competencies are developed in the team, and ensure cross skilling occurs within the brewing shift team
  • Analyses plant performance data to identify opportunities for improvement to plant performance and initiates opportunity evaluation
  • Analyses plant failure modes and investigate causes for repeat failures to correct root causes

  • Manage financial performance (prepare and manage budgets) and monthly financial Short Interval Control.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of production experience, of which 3 years’ operating at a management level within Brewing.     
  • Demonstrated experience in driving commercial decisions in a brewery (financial, operational, people)
  • A superior performance track record indicating a disciplined work ethic with passion at maintaining quality
  • Solid understand of performance management principles.

3.) Brewing Operator

Employment Type: Full time

Purpose

  • The key purpose of this role is to operate and maintain defined Brewing equipment and related processes to achieve optimal effectiveness.

Key outputs and responsibilities
Operating and Process Control:

  • Operating equipment in Brewing process areas according to VPO standards
  • Constantly reviewing process performance against target, and recording short stops and correcting any out of controls using the VPO tools
  • Recording waste and movement of product on the appropriate documentation or information systems. Review trends to identify & resolve problems.

Maintenance of Plant and Equipment:

  • Carrying out autonomous operations as defined for the process areas
  • Identify defective plant, and report these through to the Process Artisan or Team Leader to assist with resolution
  • Assisting the Process Artisan/Machine specialist in executing running repairs on shift.

Quality Control and Analysis:

  • Carrying out the required quality checks and analyses and recording the results on the appropriate information system
  • The list of quality checks to be executed is contained in the work instructions
  • React to the results using the VPO tools supplied.

Communication:

  • Actively participate in shift meetings, asking questions to test understanding and contributing suggestions. making use of the action logs to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities
  • Fully understand the team Dream and contribute to achieving it
  • Make use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues
  • Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality and maintenance are communicated.

Problem Solving:

  • Where problems occur, use the VPO problem solving tools to resolve and record the issues

Minimum Requirements

  • Min. of B.Sc. / HND or equivalent in Engineering
  • Experience in Brewing process Environment.
