Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially the most vulnerable to malnutrition.
We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Project Manager - Product Owner for Digital LSFF - SYS-1168

About the Role
- Reporting to the Deputy Director, PST, the Project Manager will provide functional, technical and managerial leadership to projects and teams in the thematic area.
- You will lead a high-performing cross-functional project team, and establish, manage and maintain relationships with relevant partners and stakeholders. The postholder will be responsible for the overall project management leadership and ensure the project team implement project activities within approved plans, budget, and quality standards.
- The Project Manager, throughout the project life cycle, will ensure accurate planning, management and reporting of activities, budgets (resources), monitoring, external services and any other key areas required to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Revising and executing a digital product strategy according to organizational goals, market trends, customer demands and the requirements of diverse stakeholders
- Building and maintaining a deep understanding of all the digital product aspects, including the customer and user perspective, competitive products and our technical capabilities
- Implementing best practice User-Centered-Design methodologies and research to achieve high user value and satisfaction and integrating stakeholder feedback/suggestions through best practice demand management processes
- Leading the preparation for the inception workshop for the project. Facilitating the inception workshop with support from the other teams in GAIN
- Leading a high-performing project team consisting of people across the organization including a consortium of 8 organizations; bringing together the skills, experience and competencies required for successful digital project delivery
- Working with Business Architect to ensure product development enables go-to-market strategy, as well as developing positioning and messaging for customers
- Collaborating with a consortium including designers and developers to ensure the deployment of necessary features, including overseeing customer research, solution design, user story writing, feature development, user acceptance testing, and market research
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with civil society, INGOs, government entities, private sector and other organisations
- Ensuring monthly project reporting (in line with GAINs Project Management Standards) to update management on program progress achieved, program plans, changes in direction and challenges encountered
About You
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and/or recognized international accreditation in project management.
- The ideal candidate will possess experience on digital product development/digital transformation in emerging or developing country markets and knowledge and experience of working according to agile methodologies and lean product development, such as CSPO, SCRUM.
- You will have proven experience in project management in complex and diverse environments, cross-disciplinary teams and product design or development. The postholder will also possess experience working in an Agile environment (reviewing business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks) as well as experience in food and agriculture systems development, experience in managing programs and digital transformation.
- In addition to this, you will have excellent communications skills and able to work with diverse groups/individuals and comfortable working in multicultural and multi-lingual environments.
- You will be fluent in both written and verbal English. The postholder should also be highly flexible and willing and able to travel.
- You will be computer literate in Microsoft Office and with experience in SQL queries and with back-end and front-end programming languages such as Java, HTML, CSS.

The starting salary for each office is as follows, depending on experience:
- From NGN14,956,632 (gross) - NGN17,101,296 (gross) per annum.

2.) Senior Associate, Workforce Nutrition

Job Description
- We are seeking a Senior Associate, Workforce Nutrition to support the Workforce Nutrition Project at GAIN.
- This role will be on a 2 years’ fixed-term contract basis, subject to availability of funding. This position is open to GAIN’s country offices in New Delhi and Abuja.
- Reporting to the Programme Lead, Workforce Nutrition, the Senior Associate will be responsible for monitoring, reporting and learning with focus on supporting the Workforce Nutrition Alliance as well as supporting GAINs broader workforce nutrition portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the Project Manager to aid with the design and planning of the scope, activities and objectives of the project
- Supporting the Project Manager in preparing donors’ reports in collaboration with project teams, technical teams, funding team and support teams
- Developing appropriate narrative reporting and financial accounting documentation for the Project Manager’s review in order to meet GAIN and donor’s requirements
- Facilitating accurate project budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that activities costs are kept within budgets
- Ensuring timely monthly project reporting on program progress achieved, program plans, changes in direction and challenges encountered
- Supporting in the development and roll-out of the self-assessment scorecard for agricultural settings and potential new scorecard variations in the future
- Serving as a focal point for private sector partners who face any challenges with filling out the scorecard for their setting
- Identifying opportunities for improvement of the scorecard and coordinating this with the technical consultant
- Monitoring the Workforce Nutrition Alliance and developing relevant digital tools and resources to further progress this. Ensuring alignment with and integrating insights of the Consumer Goods Forum, the co-lead of the Workforce Nutrition Alliance
- Collaborating with Knowledge Leadership team on M&E framework support including roll-up indicators, theory of change/logic model, results framework, and monitoring templates
- Providing support on design, implementation and monitoring of workforce nutrition programmes to GAIN country teams and other organizations establishing workforce nutrition programmes
- Contributing to the fundraising activities of GAIN’s Workforce Nutrition programme and the Workforce Nutrition Alliance
About You
- A Master's Degree in Business Administration, or Agribusiness and Supply Chain, Logistic and Supply Chain Management, Nutrition, Health or related field. You will be computer literate in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of database packages, experience in handling of web-based management systems.
- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in international project management and monitoring/evaluation and previous practical work experience in nutrition, sustainability programmes, and / or relevant social sector projects. Candidates with experience working in a public-private partnership environment highly desirable.
- The postholder will have proven experience in project management, implementation, grantee oversight within international development and experience in engaging with government and private sector stakeholders and collaborators in challenging environments. Candidates with food industry experience would be an advantage.
- In addition to this, you will possess excellent communications and analytical skills and comfortable working in multicultural and matrix-style organization. You will be fluent in both written and verbal English and able to work with diverse groups/individuals.

3.) Associate, Programme Monitoring & Improvement

Job Description
- We are seeking for an Associate, Programme Monitoring and Improvement provide technical support to the Nigeria project teams to design, coordinate, and implement the monitoring framework of the country programme.
- The post holder will provide day to day project monitoring and improvement with evidence related support to the country office.
- This role will be offered on a three year(3) fixed-term contract subject to availability of funding and will be based in Abuja, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of results frameworks / logical frameworks and monitoring plans, as well as the uptake and use of monitoring tools.
- Provide Quality Assurance and oversee the collection of routine monitoring data by implementing agencies and governments to track progress of program activities towards objectives.
- Review and analyse data and prepare reports on monitoring indicators.
- Contribute to analysis of information collected and support all dissemination efforts including writing reports, briefs, and other materials.
- Support dissemination of results to appropriate audience, interpretation of data and follow-up / corrective action.
- Support work with selected implementation partners in country on all aspects of project planning and implementation including technical (finalizing protocols, data collection tools, conducting trainings, supervising field work), process (implementation plan development and monitoring, tracking deliverables).
About You
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Data Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics or related field would be an advantage.
- The ideal candidate should have experience in the public health and/or nutrition sector for implementing, monitoring improvement frameworks, and supporting operations and participatory research.
- You should have experience in analysing data, tracking indicators and developing and/or strengthening performance monitoring systems.
- The post holder should have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multi-cultural and multi-lingual environments.
- You should have the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work well under pressure with frequent deadlines and be willing to travel in country.
- In addition to this, the post holder should have experience in creating interactive dashboards for visualization using Tableau, Power Bi or Excel.
