Job Position: Internal Audit Officer

Job Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom

Job Description


  • Evaluate and provide reasonable assurance that risk management controls are functioning.
  • Ensure efficient and effective performance as well as monitor adherence of internal controls company-wide.
  • Evaluate and mitigate for all recognized corporate risks and advise management.
  • Ensure projects are prioritized based on risk and exposure and assist with project appraisals.
  • Create an effective and strategic direction roadmap which covers the values, mission, and objectives of Internal Audit now and in the future.
  • Ensure adequate corporate governance exists to provide transparency in business practices.
  • Establish quality control programmes over Internal Audit activities, and ensure departmental processes, methodologies and work flows are effective company-wide (including project planning, resource management, file review, reporting, and follow up).
  • Embed minimum acceptable standards and control frameworks which meet Nsik Engineering Internal Audit objectives.
  • Ensure that Internal Audit staffs develop skills and knowledge which provide maximum value for the business, and which are relevant for career advancement.
  • Conduct ad-hoc special projects as requested by the Board of Directors, Audit Committee or the CEO.
  • Maintain the independence and objectivity required by internal audit functions.

Desired Skills and Experience
Educational qualifications and functional/technical skills:

  • A B.Sc / HND in Accounting / Banking and Finance. Professional qualification: (ACA, ICAN, CPA) Optional.

Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 - 6 years post-professional qualification in Audit with experience in a multi-national, transport, courier, shipping or aviation environment, with at least 3 years in senior audit management position.

Job Position: Account Officer

Job Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire an Account Officer. This is a role where you will report directly to the Head of Account.
  • In this capacity, you will be responsible for providing the financial results of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping, prepare, and record journal entries.
  • Track income and expenses, and be able to prepare detailed revenue and expense reports when necessary.
  • Complete monthly bank and revenue account reconciliations.
  • Interface with managers and executives concerning questions and issues.
  • Support external audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility.
  • Daily reconciliation of accounts.
  • Assist with monthly end Reconciliation of accounts (Purchases, sales, inventory, expenses, transfers, payments, deposits).
  • Work to continuously improve accounting/finance procedures and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited university
  • 3 year+ of working for a consumer finance company, Microfinance Company or a bank.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and facial interpersonal, communication, and persuasion skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Commitment to achieving performance goals.
  • Familiarity and experience using accounting technology programs.
  • Familiarity with tax accounting for finance companies in Nigeria, highly required.
  • Great at time management, multitasking, and prioritizations skills.
  • Familiarity with Tally ERP highly required.

Job Position: Head - Accounts and Finance
Job Location: Uyo Akwa Ibom

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire a “Head Accounts and Finance”. This is a role where you will report directly to the Head of Account. In this capacity, you will be responsible for providing the financial results of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the department.
  • Provide management with timely complete accurate financial report periodically.
  • Responsible for cooperate budgeting, budget implementation, cost control, business assets accounting and conversant with ERP solutions for accounting.
  • Responsible for cooperate compliance statutory financial reporting requirement including but not limited to on VAT Returns, CIT, PAYE, etc.
  • Responsible for managing all company insurance including assets and staff insurance.
  • Responsible for the performance management of all personnel in the department.
  • Manage the business relationship between company and its financiers.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and coordinating multiple projects.
  • Candidate must be of strong characters and impeachable integrity.
  • Possess sufficient soft skills to manage an array of internal and external persons.
  • Firm and objective in decision and actions.
  • Proficient in Micro Soft Office, specifically MS-WORD, MSExcel, MS-PowerPoint; and off-the-shelf programme specifically Sage, Peachtree and tally accounting software.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director.

Desired Skills and Experience
Educational Qualifications and Functional / Technical Skills:

  • A B.Sc / HND in Accounting/Banking and Finance. (Master’s Degree and / or MBA will be an added advantage.)
  • Professional qualification: (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is a must
