1.) Logistics / Fleet Officer

Job Description

  • The Logistics/Fleet Officerat Geoaudits Nigeria is responsible for overseeing and coordinating pool of Truck Drivers , transportation, distribution of products to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customers.

Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage a team of Truck /Trailer Drivers and Mates.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Report Directly to the head of operations
  • Provides first hand resolution and escalates issues

Routing and Scheduling:

  • Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency.
  • Schedule transportation resources to meet delivery timelines.

Order Fulfillment:

  • Ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment.
  • Ensure loading confirmation and offloading
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet customer demand.

Quality Control:

  • Implement and enforce quality control measures for outbound shipments.
  • Address and resolve issues related to damaged or incorrect shipments.
  • Escalate issues when necessary

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to shipments.
  • Ensure Distribution drivers and mates are available on site

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in logistics operations.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Course in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics, with a focus on supervision and leadership.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and technology used in logistics management.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in FMCG is an added advantage

3.) Truck / Trailer Driver

Job Location: Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Safe Operation of Vehicles:

  • Safely operate and drive trucks or trailers to transport goods to various destinations.
  • Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations to ensure the safety of both the driver and other road users.

Loading and Unloading:

  • Responsible for the loading and unloading of goods onto the truck/trailer.
  • Ensure that all goods are properly secured and that the load is balanced to prevent accidents during transit.

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs.

Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of goods transported, including delivery schedules, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure all necessary documents, such as waybills and delivery notes, are properly filled out and submitted.

Timely Deliveries:

  • Adhere to delivery schedules and timelines to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and distribution points.
  • Communicate any delays or issues with the transportation coordinator or supervisor.

Communication:

  • Maintain effective communication with the logistics team, warehouse staff, and other relevant personnel.

Customer Service:

  • Handle customer inquiries and address any concerns in a courteous and timely manner.

Compliance:

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries.

Physical Fitness:

  • Possess the physical fitness required for loading and unloading goods, as well as the endurance for long-distance driving.

Emergency Response:

  • Be prepared to respond effectively in case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, such as accidents or breakdowns.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Class G
  • Proven experience as a truck/trailer driver.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of Nigerian road networks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail.
