We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Storekeeper

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented storekeeper to manage our inventory and storage facilities.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing stock, as well as maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming stock, verifying quantities and quality.
• Store items in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and storage locations
• Issue stock to authorized persons, ensuring proper documentation and tracking
• Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy
• Implement and maintain safety procedures and regulations in the storage area
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize inventory management and minimize waste.

Requirements

• BSc or its equivalent in any related field
• 1-2 years of experience in storekeeping or inventory management
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

2.) Experienced Barista

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The Bodega Emporium is looking for a Barista to join the team. This person should have a positive attitude, be enthusiastic and enjoy working with all types of people.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and prior experience working in the foodservice industry.

Responsibilities

• Serve: Prepare hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to customers while correctly customizing orders. Prepare and serve food and baked goods, including sandwiches, muffins, bagels etc.
• Sell: Work with the customer by describing the details of the product and answer any questions they may have, such as dietary needs or known allergies.
• Clean and stock: Determine that all workstations are stocked with products needed.  Clean and sanitize all work areas and customer-seating areas. 

Requirements

• Experience as a Barista
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices. 
• A good memory to manage multiple orders at the same time and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently and kindly
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and some holidays

3.) Experienced Waitress

Job Summary

• We are looking for a skilled Waiter or Waitress to take orders and deliver food and beverages to our customers.
• The right Waiter/Waitress uplifts the dining experience for customers. We are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role.
• Waiter/Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving customers, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. If you are able to perform well in fast-paced environments, we’d like to meet you.
• To be a successful Waiter or Waitress, you should be polite with our customers and make sure they enjoy their meals. You should also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with our Kitchen Staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
• Keep in mind that Waiter/Waitress duties may require working in shifts and/or occasionally during weekends and holidays.
• Ultimately, it is the duty of our Waiters/Waitresses to provide an excellent overall dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort customers to their tables
• Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
• Inform customers about the day’s specials
• Offer menu recommendations upon request
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order  slips or by memorization
• Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff
• Serve food and drink orders
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments
• Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
• Meet with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g. parties)
• Follow all relevant health department regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to guests.

Requirements and skills

• High school diploma; food safety training is a plus
• Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress
• Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system
• Basic math skills
• Attentiveness and patience for customers
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
• Active listening and effective communication skills
