We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Inventory Officer

Job Location: Lagos
Job type: Full-time

Job Summary 

• The Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing stock levels, tracking inventory movement, and maintaining accurate inventory records for vehicle parts, accessories, and finished vehicles.
• The ideal candidate must be computer-literate, quick to learn new inventory software, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment.

 Key Responsibilities

• Receive, record, and issue inventory items including vehicle parts, accessories, and materials
• Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software
• Monitor stock levels and prepare replenishment requests to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliations
• Track movement of inventory between warehouse, workshop, assembly line, and showroom
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of inventory items
• Prepare inventory reports for management review
• Identify discrepancies, damages, or obsolete stock and report accordingly
• Work closely with procurement, production, sales, and finance teams
• Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures and controls. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in inventory, stores, or warehouse management (automotive industry preferred)
• Basic to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Excel, email, and inventory systems) Ability to learn new inventory software quickly
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracyGood understanding of stock control processes
• Ability to work with part numbers, serial numbers, and VINs
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with a car dealership, vehicle assembler, or automotive spare parts business
• Familiarity with vehicle parts, components, and accessories
• Experience with stock audits and inventory reconciliation
• Basic understanding of procurement and logistics processes.
