Junior Web Developer (Consultant)
Sesame Africa is a not-for-profit social enterprise that seeks to contribute to food security, gender equality and poverty eradication in rural Nigeria by providing services that allow women smallholder farmers equal access to resources that would improve their productivity in agriculture and enterprise, to enable them grow their way out of hunger and build lasting pathways to prosperity.

Job Position: Junior Web Developer (Consultant)
Job Location: Abuja
Project Summary
- Sesame Africa is currently piloting its first project across two rural communities in Jos South Local Government of Plateau State.
Position Overview
- We are looking for a young, vibrant and enthusiastic web developer that can combine the art of design with the art of programming, as we seek to establish an online presence and showcase our work.
- Our website will also serve as a platform for learning, targeted at a broad range of audience, looking to venture into social enterprise and/or agriculture
- Duration: The Job is expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
Responsibilities
Developing a websites that:
- Is dynamic and minimalistic with a professional look and touch
- Is easy to manage and update contents and blogs with little or no IT background
- Has the ability to display information in text, infographics, images and short videos
- Visitors should be able to download and fill forms online, print copies as well as view and download documents in PDF format.
- Navigation through the portal should be simple and easy. Visitors should get to any part of the portal with at most 3 clicks
Skills:
- The ideal candidate should be prominent with the following softwares: Wordpress, boostrap, mysql, codeigniter, Angular Js. Jquery.
- Laravel and asp.net should be an added advantage.
- Desired candidate should live in Abuja, Jos or Nasarawa State
Remuneration
- N50, 000 - N70, 000 Monthly, depending on experience (This amount does not include any cost associated with domain name, hosting the site or any other additional cost that may be incurred during the process of development)
