Job Position: Legal & Compliance Lead

Role Summary

• We’re seeking a Legal & Compliance Lead to support internal teams in legal matters, including contract negotiations, dispute resolution, and governance standards.
• This role anchors regulatory alignment, strengthens internal controls, and serves as a strategic advisor to leadership on legal risk and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advisory support on contracts, negotiations, and disputes.
• Develop, review, and enforce compliance policies and internal controls.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure alignment with Nigerian laws and firm standards.
• Track regulatory changes and proactively manage risk exposure.
• Promote strong governance and ethical business practices.

Requirements

• LL.B or related degree (Business Law, Finance, Political Science).
• Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience.
• Corporate legal or consulting firm experience (required).
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian corporate and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Prior experience in a corporate legal department of a consulting firm (mandatory).
• High attention to detail.
