Job Position: Logistics and Warehouse Officer

Job Summary

• The Logistics and Warehouse Officer is responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics and warehouse operations.
• This includes managing the storage, distribution, and inventory of goods, as well as coordinating transportation and deliveries.
• The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
• Ensure that all goods are stored in a safe and organized manner.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular stock counts and audits.
• Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Handle any logistics-related customer inquiries or complaints, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock situations, working closely with the procurement team.
• Implement inventory control systems to ensure accurate tracking of goods.
• Ensure that all warehouse activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Supervise warehouse staff and ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
• Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery, resolving any issues that may arise.
• Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfilment.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in logistics and warehouse operations.
• Implement new strategies and technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Logistics Officer, Warehouse Officer, or in a similar role within the logistics, warehousing, or supply chain industry.
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and MS Office Suite.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
