Job Position: Logistics Sales Executive
Job Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Summary
- The Sales Executive will be a key point of contact between our company and our customers. Learn and develop key skills with the support of other team members so you are confident in identifying business opportunities, finding possible prospects, and making sales.
- You will strive to maintain excellent working relationships with existing customers and gain repeat business. This role is responsible for driving both existing and new business and will be expected to work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless experience for customers, ensuring realistic expectations from the outset.
- You must be smart, with great communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving and customer service skills is key for this position.
- The ideal candidate should have experience or knowledge in logistics or transportation sales and a strong understanding of the shipping industry
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers.
- Coordinating with individuals and companies to arrange pickup and delivery of products, including documentation of shipping details.
- Creating sales goals to aid in achieving targets and price and service negotiation with customers and carriers.
- Setting up appointments and visiting potential customers for new businesses.
- Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities to potential customers.
- Preparing daily sales reports and sending to the Management.
- Developing and managing relationships with suppliers, senders, vendors, customers, clients, and other logistics companies.
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on service offerings.
- Negotiating contracts with clients to determine product specifications, pricing, and delivery terms.
- Managing both new and existing customer requirements to understand, anticipate and practically meet their needs, whilst spotting potential sales opportunities.
- To self-generate sales leads through networking, referrals, and warm/cold calling.
- To achieve a minimum number of customer audits per week, to ensure an effectively managed customer base.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve better sales results.
- To take personal ownership of the delivery of agreed SMART objectives set within the department.
- To proactively identify and assist the Management to obtain real and sustained continuous improvement, throughout the business and execute same promptly.
- To demonstrate high levels of integrity and honesty at all times, establishing a culture of both personal and organizational trust.
- Ability to work flexible hours around the needs of both customers and the organization.
- To undertake any other duties as requested, following the scope and responsibilities of the role.
- This is not an exhaustive list and may be altered by the Managing Director/Department Manager at any time.
Requirements and Skills
- First Degree holder in Marketing, Business Administration, or any relevant discipline.
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or a similar role in the logistics industry.
- Proficiency in English Language and any other major language.
- Organization: High levels of organization are necessary for planning, scheduling, and timely delivery of goods.
- Problem-solving: The ability to preemptively address and quickly respond to challenges, and creatively devise solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office/Google Suite.
- Hands-on experience with CRM software is a plus.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in new technology and automation, particularly relevant in the logistics sector.
- Project Management skills
- Innovation: Continuously seeking improvements in work processes for more efficient results, adapting to the evolving nature of the logistics build-up.
- The ability to read and analyze data to identify trends and patterns. This includes using spreadsheets for planning and project execution, and strong mathematical skills for calculating pricing and delivery times.
- Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
- Fast learner and passion for sales.
- Industry Knowledge: Staying informed about the latest trends, technologies, and developments in the logistics industry to ensure competitive and efficient processes
- Familiarity with Lagos routes and maps.
- Active listening and critical thinking skills.
Salary
- N80,000 monthly Net Plus other benefit.
