Job Summary


  • The Marketing Manager will drive the development and implementation of market penetration strategies.
  • He/ She will coordinate all marketing and brand awareness campaigns across different distribution channels to maximise product preference and solidify the company’s position as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, develop and implement strategies & activities to drive awareness of the product benefits in each market. Track development of this knowledge and measure effectiveness (volume and penetration)
  • Drives collaboration on marketing strategy and engage customers on events, new innovations and capabilities relating to their business.
  • Works with operations to conceptualize and develop new product lines based on market research and customer feedback.
  • Take part in the development of annual sales budget, implementation and monthly reviews.
  • Develop appropriate strategies to protect and enhance the company’s market share and presence
  • Recommend marketing strategies that fits the future business outlook.
  • Develop and manage relationships with customers and other stakeholders: acts as the voice of the company among various parties.
  • Provide coaching and direction to direct reports and ensure the quality of work meets with performance expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing or other related disciplines
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience within the manufacturing industry or FMCG (beverage would be considered an advantage) with at least 3 years at a managerial level
  • Relevant certification from a reputable professional institution
  • Strong knowledge of offline and online advertisement channels/tools
  • Relevant experience in marketing strategy formulation and implementation
  • Working knowledge of market research and analytics tools
  • Strong knowledge of offline and online advertisement channels/tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites applications
  • Available to travel within Sub Saharan Africa on short notice
