Medical Laboratory Scientist

The post holder is expected to be skilled in the use of the latest medical laboratory techniques and complex instrumentation alongside more traditional manual methods of investigation.

Applicants are expected to have training and experience in Clinical Chemistry. The successful applicant will be expected to apply professional judgment and utilize necessary skills and knowledge to provide accurate and timely result service to requesting facilities. The individual will be committed to formally maintaining professional good standing, expert skills and knowledge by appropriate training and self-education.

About Us: CAREFORTE Diagnostics is an indigenous health facility specializing in pathology services. Located in the Meiran axis of Alimosho local government in Lagos State, we are dedicated to advancing diagnostic services in Nigeria.

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientists with expertise in Clinical Chemistry, Laboratory Automation and Haematology. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both traditional manual methods and the latest medical laboratory techniques and complex instrumentation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests using automated instrumentation and manual techniques.
• Provide accurate and timely results to requesting facilities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot high-value laboratory equipment.
• Participate in shift rota as necessary.
• Commit to personal and professional development, including CPD.

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory  Science (BMLS).
• Current practicing license issued by MLSCN.
• Experience in Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Automation.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Strong communication and IT skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.

Work Schedule: Flexible working (3 days per week)

Work Time: 9am - 5:30pm

Remuneration and Accommodation Bursary: 130,000 Naira (Net) and 20,000 Naira respectively (subject to terms and conditions)
