Medical Laboratory Scientist

The applicant must be a post-internship graduate with registration and current practising licence from the Medical and Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)

Key Responsibilities 


  • Perform Complex Testing:Conduct tests in areas like chemistry (glucose, electrolytes), hematology (blood cells), microbiology (infections), immunology, and blood banking (transfusions). 
  • Analyze & Interpret Data:Evaluate test results, identify abnormalities, and determine the significance of findings for diagnosis and treatment. 
  • Operate & Maintain Equipment: Use and maintain advanced instruments like microscopes, cell counters, and automated analyzers, ensuring accuracy. 
  • Quality Assurance:Implement strict quality control procedures to guarantee reliable results. 
  • Communicate Results:Report critical findings promptly and accurately to physicians and healthcare teams. 
  • Develop New Methods:Evaluate and implement new testing procedures and technologies.
