MSION’s goal is to meet the needs of underserved Nigerians and dramatically improve access and use of a range of reproductive health services. MSI Nigeria Reproductive Choices is part of Marie Stopes International’s Global Partnership which is in over 37 countries worldwide and it operates in Nigeria through six service delivery channels.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Human Resources Intern

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Overall Responsibility


  • The HR Intern role is crucial for supporting the HR department's efficiency and effectiveness. This position allows the HR Units to focus on strategic tasks by delegating routine and administrative duties to the Intern.
  • By handling clerical work, and basic support to the HR Unit, the Intern ensures that the HR team operates smoothly and meets its objectives without overlap or redundancy.
  • This role is essential for maintaining a well-organized HR function and providing high-quality support to employees and management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Support in collating employee information needed for updating HR database.
  • Assist in monitoring LOCUM and LOCUM DAA database to ensure no open role.
  • Assist in coordinating new hire orientations.
  • Assist in updating staff NHF cards.
  • Assist in organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  • Assisting in update the job posting database to monitor the opening and closing of job advertisements.
  • Provide event management support during training sessions, team bonding and human resources events.
  • Support in sending rejection letters or emails to unsuccessful candidates.
  • Assist in responding to staff inquiries, employee, and other HR-related matters.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • HND or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • Proven experience working in an office environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Excel.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented
