We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Oil & Gas Reliability Engineer III

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Main Functions

  • A Reliability Engineer identifies and manages asset reliability risk throughout the lifecycle of a product. 
  • This is a strategic role that is involved in the planning, designing and developing of maintenance programs.
  • Loss elimination, risk management, and lifecycle asset management are the 3 main areas of focus for most Reliability Engineers. 
  • Reliability Engineers work extensively in plants and refineries, but can be found in other areas of the industry as well. Provide general reliability guidance and expertise.

Tasks and Responsibilities
In addition to all Level 1 and 2 tasks, Level 3:

  • Serve as subject matter expert on the cause and effect methodology.
  • Facilitate and implement a production availability threats work process, and manage the threats database.
  • Collect, report, and analyze unit performance data.
  • Benchmark equipment performance against similar sites.
  • Identify opportunities to improve capacity utilization.
  • Identify key opportunity areas to mitigate potentially large reliability issues or to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure documentation of the facility’s threat/optimization list.
  • Ensure value is established.
  • Recognized as a leader or expert;
  • Interprets & incorporates industry info and advances;
  • Sound knowledge of other skills & able to apply in several areas;
  • Responsible for resolving entire complex problems;

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering within discipline and/or equivalent professional experience
  • Able to provide assistance to more senior engineers.
  • Able to provide assistance to more senior engineers.
  • Able to work independently in all situations within range of technical expertise.
  • Recognized as a technical expert in one or more categories.
  • Also recognized for their business understanding and history of continuous high value contributions.
  • Applies innovation broadly.
  • Has applicable industry experience with more than one Client Company or with industry associations / professional societies.
  • Takes technical initiative, and is able to learn quickly and apply knowledge to technical success.
  • Strong data manipulation skills
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
