We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:

1.) Portfolio Risk Analyst

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Scope and Impact


  • The Portfolio Risk Analyst examines and analyzes the mix of company loan product activities, with the purpose of making decisions that are expected to improve overall return.
  • He/she is primarily tasked with conducting detailed portfolio analysis and reports on loan and lease portfolio to anticipate, identify and mitigate credit risk exposure related to portfolio management activities in the organization.
  • He/she will be grossly responsible for offering risk management analysis on business portfolio and research into business expertise area.

Job Summary

  • The Portfolio Risk Analyst will determine risks and opportunities within credit portfolio processes and strategy, conduct risk analysis, track trends, understand risks associated with all product portfolios and create corresponding reports on projects, documenting same accordingly to present to senior management.
  • He/she is also responsible for overseeing the credit collection unit, ensuring that appropriate steps are taken to collects payments on debts, all payments data are well recorded and subsequently, using the generated data to the perform the necessary analysis and provide corresponding reports.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyses transactional risk measures including defaults, correlations and stress losses to enhance concentration risk views.
  • Estimates the probability of defaults, loss given default in order to validate risk parameters (PD, LGD, EAD/CCF) calculated for internal credit risk management.
  • Identifies adjustments required to risk parameters (PD, LGD, EAD/CCF) calculated for internal credit risk management.
  • Prepares report on analytics of portfolio performance, emerging trends and areas of opportunity.
  • Prepares comprehensive report on all repossessed lease assets identifying principal outstanding, loan-assetvalue, number of rentals outstanding, date asset is expected to be disposed and estimation of depreciation in asset value.
  • Mitigates credit risk exposure related to portfolio management activities.
  • Prepares report on probability of default using information from direct debit, cheque lodgement report and returned cheque report
  • Suggests initiative to ensure consistency and compliance with credit policies and improve credit qualities.
  • Proposes evolutions in the policy, process, procedure, methodology, collaterals related to the risk identified.
  • Analyses and monitors the company’s lease portfolio.
  • Assessing all other credit risks and making recommendation.
  • Periodically analyses quantitatively and qualitatively the loan portfolio of the company based on sector concentration, volume concentration, product concentration, etc.
  • Periodically performs default/principal at risk assessment, measuring the impact of guarantors/collaterals and impact of group loan on risk exposure.
  • Monitors compliance to credit and risk policies of the company.
  • Makes recommendations for process improvement, addressing gaps and areas for additional or improved reporting and data.
  • Responsible for training the department on identified trends and recommendations.
  • Responsible for compiling and evaluating information needed to collect delinquent accounts, supervise field collections and perform other collection duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of working in similar field, with cognitive experience as a Portfolio risk Analyst.
  • Advanced Degrees, certifications and/or professional membership will be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of industry laws and regulations
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to present and communicate analysis and recommendations
  • Ability to measure financial data to evaluate financial performance and position

Job Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of all practices and procedures involved in credit and risk management.
  • Expert experience handling and working efficiently with Microsoft Office Suite, Google
  • Knowledge of all practices and procedures involved in credit and risk management and how they can be implemented in a way that minimizes financial loss.
  • A track record of proven experience in the above key accountabilities, specifically within a high volume and fast paced environment.
  • Proven track record of experience in supervising, leading and coaching a team within a busy and effective credit control, collectionsor debt risk analysis function.
  • Extensive collection and portfolio risk analysis experience with a financial institution
  • Suite and other statistical and analyticalsoftware.
  • A good understanding of business trends,situations, practices, procedures and models.
  • Ability to review, analyze and report credit and risk activities.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial rules and guidance covering financial reporting in relation to Portfolio analysis.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft office packages.

Skills / Competencies:

  • Ability to review, analyze and report credit and risk activities and data in a way that is easily understood to make better decisions.
  • Ability to identify gaps within the credit policies.Ability to anticipate and identify financial and economic trends as regards loan and lease portfolio.
  • Ability to handle and work efficiently with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite and other statistical and analytical software or application especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

2.) Underwriting Executive

Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Underwriting Executive must be able to Underwrite the creditworthiness of customers in other to mitigate the overall risk of the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and analyzing the creditworthiness of all potential customers based on risk criteria.
  • To evaluate all quantitative details in the applications with a view to making objective decisions based on empirical facts from the financial information evaluated.

  • To communicate to the business areas the credit corners and the quality assurance issues for responses/resolutions.
  • Ensuring that all credit approvals, KYC are in place documentation is duly executed, and that the company’s interest is well protected.
  • Conducting credit search (CRS & CRC Report) on credit bureau database.
  • Reviewing applications for credit facilities with a view to point out deviations from the company’s credit policy and highlight quality assurance issues in credit proposals received from business areas.
  • Performing various departmental functions including loan covenant monitoring, risk rating, audit preparation and recovery as assigned by HOD.
  • Ensure Credits requiring amendments are communicated to the business areas to amend as appropriate.
  • Conducting Email Verification & preparing Transaction Consummation Reports.
  • Reviewing transactions for final checklist and approval.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with at least 3 years of work experience.

Job Knowledge:

  • Must be abreast with the current reporting standard.
  • Ability to interpret financial statements.

Skills / Competencies:

  • Must be analytical.
  • Must be technologically savvy

3.) Wealth Manager - Deposit Mobilization (Liability Asset)

Job Summary

  • This role is primarily responsible for driving deposit mobilization for the Company, building and managing strategic relationships for fixed deposit customers and serving as the single point of contact for new business as well existing portfolios.

Job Description

  • Source appropriately priced and structured deposit liabilities for the company from retail and institutional sources.
  • Visit, engage prospects, and maintain liability generated.
  • Participate in creating new and better marketing based on field experience.
  • Ensure the form for the fixed deposit Investment Plan is adequately completed and registered
  • Marketing and sale of all company deposit products.
  • Meet, maintain and exceed assigned targets and quotas in deposit mobilization and other assigned tasks.
  • Propose services, up-selling, and cross-selling whenever possible.
  • Inform the client of the status of their investment.

Requirements

  • Minimum education level - First Degree in any discipline from a reputable academic institution. Post-graduate qualification(s) and professional membership will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting / exceeding targets as an individual contributor.
  • Successful experience building a territory from little or nothing.
  • Working knowledge of deal structuring and closing principles.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.

4.) Client Support Service Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Roles & Responsibilities Frequency

  • Maintain orderliness within the reception area, ensuring no loitering (Ad-Hoc)
  • Manage the Helpdesk and attend to requests from walk-in prospects and Clients, limiting their time spent to 15 minutes (Ad-Hoc)
  • Ensure Enquiries and Helpdesk report is up to date (Ad-Hoc & Weekly)
  • Conduct Client Satisfaction surveys after complain resolution and log all activities in Retention report (Ad-Hoc & Weekly)
  • Conduct Client Satisfaction surveys on newly-acquired transactions (Ad-Hoc)
  • Monitor recent transactions to ensure familiarity and continued usage of the service offerings (Ad-Hoc & Monthly)
  • Conduct Client Satisfaction surveys for recently matured transactions (Ad-Hoc & Weekly)
  • Conduct Client dissatisfaction survey for failed/Unsuccessful transactions (Ad-Hoc & Weekly)
  • Monitor client enquiries via mail, phone, LifeChat and social sites ensuring quality of response and timeliness of resolution (Ad-Hoc)

  • Attending client feedback and departmental process review meetings; to inform HODs on feedback on client interaction and other day to day activities (Ad-Hoc)
  • Contact client with returned Cheques for follow up and obtain information on their repayment plan via phone calls and Emails (Ad-Hoc).

Qualifiations

  • Candidates should possess and HND or B.Sc Degree with 1-2 years of experience.
