Job Description

  • As part of our continued growth plans we are seeking to recruit a Research and Operations intern, which would suit a recent graduate looking to gain some experience in the Financial consulting industry.
  • This internship is for a 12 month period with the possibility that the role will develop into a permanent position.
  • The role will play an integral part in assisting with the firms operations side of the business by having responsibility for dealing with our numerous clients, partners as well as processing transactions.
  • The role will also involve operational duties including Documentation, Research, Data analysis and Transaction tracking with our clients.
  • You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and you should be comfortable working with figures.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support in managing day-to-day office operations and processes while supporting other functions across the board.
  • Recordkeeping, updating, and maintaining departmental files.
  • Despatch of documents and letters to clients, banks, and tax office.
  • Staying in touch with clients to update and follow up on progress
  • Render administrative support by assisting in generating timely and appropriate research materials.
  • Tracking and ensuring we hit our timelines
  • Processing deposits and final payments from clients
  • Reconciliation of invoices from partners.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • A real people person who enjoys working as part of a team
  • An excellent command of both written and spoken English and strong numerical skills are required. The ideal candidate will have a Higher Grade in Mathematics and English or equivalent qualification
  • Outstanding organisation skills and strong attention to detail with a methodical approach to work
  • A high level of motivation and a strong work ethic with the ability to work on your own initiative in a small entrepreneurial business
  • Excellent computer skills with specific experience of working with spreadsheets
  • Problem solving skills and an ability to think outside the box
  • A strong commitment to excellent customer service and exceeding expectations.
