Job Position: Operations Officer - Agro Commodities (Raw Cashew, Sesame, Soya, Spices, Cocoa)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Overview

• We are looking for an experienced Operations Officer to handle haulage, shipping and warehouse admin operations.
• The ideal candidate will ensure smooth and efficient sourcing, transportation, warehousing, and export of raw cashew, sesame, soya, spices, cocoa, and other commodities.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics co-ordination:

• Work closely with procurement teams and suppliers to ensure smooth inbound and outbound logistics.
• Coordinate with trucking and haulage partners for efficient movement of commodities from sourcing locations to warehouses and ports.
• Track and monitor truck movements, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any transportation bottlenecks.

Operations planning:

• Ensure the timely availability of essential operational requirements, such as jute bags and container stuffing materials.

Warehouse operations:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring proper handling, storage, and dispatch of commodities.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels align with procurement and sales plans.

Reporting:

• Provide regular updates and reports on procurement, logistics, and inventory to management.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in the agro commodities operations
• Logistics expertise: Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and export procedures.
• Inventory management: Ability to track, monitor, and optimize stock levels.
• Problem solving: Quick decision-making skills to handle operational challenges.
• Communication & negotiation: Strong ability to coordinate with vendors, transporters, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail: Ensuring accurate documentation, invoicing, and compliance.
