Job Summary


  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Human Resources and Administration Manager to oversee and manage all HR and administrative functions at our Aluminum and Copper Recycling Plant.
  • This role will be responsible for developing HR strategies, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, managing employee relations, recruitment, and overseeing administrative tasks to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, administration, and an understanding of working in an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall business objectives of the plant.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job descriptions to onboarding, to ensure the plant has the right talent.
  • Manage the plant’s compensation and benefits program, including payroll, rewards, and recognition systems.
  • Lead initiatives to foster employee engagement, satisfaction, and a positive work culture.
  • Conduct training and development programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
  • Oversee performance management processes, including employee evaluations, feedback, and development plans.
  • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance management.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee expatriate management, including work permits, visas, and relocation processes.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day administrative operations of the plant, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
  • Manage office supplies, facilities, and utilities to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
  • Oversee documentation, including employee records, contracts, and HR-related paperwork.
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating company events, meetings, and other activities.
  • Liaise with external service providers (e.g., legal, health and safety, etc.) to ensure compliance and service quality.
  • Support the management team with administrative tasks and reports as required.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Work closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Promote and implement health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with the management team to ensure environmental, legal, and regulatory compliance in all HR-related matters.

HR Analytics and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze HR data to provide insights on workforce trends, employee performance, and turnover rates.
  • Prepare regular reports for management, including HR metrics, payroll reports, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM) is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of HR and administration experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the manufacturing or recycling industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training.
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the aluminum or copper recycling industry or other industrial environments.
  • Understanding of expatriate management and compliance with immigration regulations.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and manage diverse teams.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an industrial setting, including visiting the plant floor and interacting with production teams.
