Job Position: Procurement Executive

Responsibilities


  • Lead and manage the RFQ, RFP, RFI process
  • Research vendors to determine best options and make recommendations by evaluating total cost and quality of indirect materials and services;
  • Source suppliers, develop suppliers, and build mutual beneficial relationships with suppliers;
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for highest spend, greatest complexity, and most critical/strategic categories;
  • Ensure tactical execution of purchasing activities to meet routine business needs;
  • Identify and leverage company-wide spend opportunities;
  • Develop strategic sourcing / purchasing plans that support the future profitability of the business;
  • Analyze current spend and find areas to improve service, reduce costs, and streamline purchasing procedures;
  • Highly involved with sourcing and procuring capital equipment and requirements related to MRO supplies.
  • Manage complex projects from conception through implementation, including change management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on sourcing strategies
  • Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and address any issues or concerns to maintain a high level of service quality.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Create purchase orders in SAP or other purchasing systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience in a range of indirect spend categories
  • Significant expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
  • Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CIPS) will be an advantage.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and influencing skills within a matrix environment
  • Advanced and proven knowledge of procurement industry cost structures and drivers
  • General knowledge of applicable sourcing, planning, and logistics laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with SAP or other procurement software systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
