Job Position: Procurement Officer
Job Location: Lagos

Description

• We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services needed for our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services, and supplies
• Negotiating the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Making orders for suppliers and track whether the order is complete
• Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures
• Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased
• Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
• Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective
• Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility
• Ensuring that the products and supplies are high quality
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
• Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports, compile information and bring it to the attention of management;
• Making professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Reviewing and analyzing all vendors/suppliers and stock
• Working with team members and procurement manager to complete duties as needed
• Continually ensure the availability of goods in their product groups,
• Ensuring that the company always has promotional materials from suppliers
• Taking corrective measures with the supervisor in case of a decrease in demand for certain products to ensure it’s sourced immediately.
