Job Position: Procurement Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description 

• Research potential vendors.
• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
• Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
• Work with team members and the procurement manager to complete duties as needed.
• Stock the materials received from vendors properly to ensure easy access to identification, verification, handling, maintenance, etc.
• Report to upper management on stock levels, issues, etc.
• Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
• Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers.
• Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
• Raising of LPO and transmitting same to suppliers

Requirements

• B.Sc or HND in Business Management or any other related course.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in procurement activities.
• Membership Certification with CIPS or CIPSMN is an added advantage.
• Advanced Food Safety Certificate.
• Possess a strong proficiency in Microsoft office use and any other procurement software.
• The ability to utilize and analyze sales data to predict and plan future purchases in line with the company's budget.
