We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Public Relations Manager

Job Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute media outreach strategies to pitch our achievements and journalists' stories to relevant media outlets, bloggers, and influencers;
• Create engaging PR articles, press releases, and other promotional materials;
• Handle local partnerships;
• Monitor media coverage and track PR performance, providing regular reports and insights to the team;
• Participate in the development and implementation of company PR projects and events (online and offline);
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders to secure media placements and collaborations;
• Collaborate closely with the editorial team to align PR efforts with content strategies.

‍Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations / Communications / Marketing, or a related field
• Proven 3 year of experience as a PR Manager or similar role, preferably in the media industry;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Impeccable literacy;
• Strong media relationships and a network of contacts;
• A systematic approach to getting things done;
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle crises effectively;
• Proficiency in media monitoring tools and PR software is a plus;
• Knowledge of the Nigerian media landscape is highly desirable;
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Figma, Canva or some other editing software.
