Position Overview
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at Global Windsor Group, Lagos
- As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial activities, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing strategic insights to support the company's growth and profitability.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers affecting financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor budget performance and work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
General Ledger Management:
- Oversee the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals to maintain integrity in financial reporting.
Financial Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing financial reporting and taxation.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and address any audit findings or recommendations.
Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement solutions to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Leverage accounting software and technology tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve accuracy.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory accounting processes, including valuation, reconciliation, and analysis of inventory levels.
- Collaborate with operations team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and accountability in all financial activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven 3 - 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
