Job Position: Senior Back End Developer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Scope of the Role

• The Senior Backend Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our range of financial technology solutions. This includes writing custom extensions, managing mobile app development, and ensuring the security and performance of our platforms.
• Candidate should reside in Abuja or be open to relocate to Abuja without little or no assistance.

Specific Responsibilities

• Design, develop and install software solutions across our range of fintech products
• Implement expertise in backend development of fintech solutions using effective best programming practices.
• Work closely with Product manager, frontend developers and UI/UX designers to understand, plan and translate business requirements.
• Implement best quality assurance practices during all phases of development.
• Troubleshoot any kind of technical, performance or functionality issues which may come during office hours or off duty.
• Build and enhance innovative features and functionalities for new and existing platforms.
• Deploy, setup and customize Simplify extensions as per business requirements.
• Create and maintain development documentation and ensure that documentation remains updated throughout the development phases
• Any other duties as assigned by the CTO.

Technical Knowledge / Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of seven years of professional programming experience
• Knowledge of Java, SpringBoot, Javascript, PHP, React
• Strong knowledge of fintech solutions development
• Experience using agile tools like Trello, Slack
• Experience with code versioning tools such as Git
• Proficient in database management and implementation
• Strong knowledge of cross-platform compatibility
• Outstanding ability to think creatively and strategically, to identify and solve problems.
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to details
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Be proactive and independent; require little supervision.
