Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality software and web applications
• Testing and evaluating new programs
• Developing quality assurance procedures
• Deploying software tools, processes and metrics
• Maintaining and upgrading existing systems
• Analyze and maintain existing software applications
• Design highly scalable, testable code
• Discover and fix programming bugs
• Training users
• Working closely with other developers, UX designers, business and systems analysts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• Development experience with programming languages
• Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or with a group.
• Willingness to sit at desk for extended periods.
• Knowledge of DevOps and GCP will be an added advantage
• Experience in developing Big Data solutions will be a plus.
• SQL database or relational database skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ experience in Full stack development.
• Fluency or understanding of either as GoLang, Java or PHP, and linux operating systems is required.
• Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
• Focus on efficiency and process improvement.
• Agile/Scrum certifications will be a plus
