Job Position: Supermarket Cashier Supervisor

Job Summary

• Managing the cashier team, ensuring smooth operations, resolving customer issues, maintaining accurate transactions, and adhering to company policies, while also training and mentoring cashiers.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers, ensuring efficient and accurate service.
• Staffing and Scheduling: Plan and assign work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and managing employee breaks.
• Training and Development: Train new cashiers on procedures, policies, and customer service standards.
• Performance Management: Provide feedback to cashiers on their performance, addressing any issues or concerns.
• Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve customer complaints and cashier issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers, answer questions, and provide assistance.
• Accuracy and Efficiency: Ensure that all transactions are accurate and completed efficiently.
• Inventory Management: Assist with stocking registers and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Operational and Transactional: Cash Handling: Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy and security of transactions.
• Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Assist with any issues or problems related to the POS system.
• Reporting: Prepare and submit daily sales reports and other required documentation.
• Security: Ensure the security of the cash register and the store premises.

Other Responsibilities:

• Adherence to Policies: Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and address potential problems or issues that may arise during the workday.
• Cross-Training: Assist with cross-training cashiers in other areas of the store, if needed.
• Customer Service Supervision: Ensure that cashiers provide excellent customer service

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 4 - 8 years of work experience.

Salary
N50,000 - N70,000 / Month.
