In addition, our prolific manpower cuts across the 36 states in Nigeria. After successfully gaining ground in all the 36 states of the federation, we are gradually spreading our tentacles to other African Nations. We are currently registered to also do business in Ghana. Job Position: Supply Chain Director

Job Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Supply Chain Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the supply chain to ensure efficient operations and cost-effective processes.
  • This role involves developing strategic plans, managing logistics, improving supply chain efficiency, collaborating with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • The Supply Chain Director works closely with procurement, projects, warehousing, and distribution teams to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure seamless operations.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Logistics & Distribution:

  • Oversee logistics processes, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
  • Optimize routes, manage carriers, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

Inventory Management:

  • Implement effective inventory control processes to minimize waste, reduce costs, and prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Cost Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings throughout the supply chain by streamlining processes, renegotiating supplier contracts, and improving operational efficiency.

Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to supply chain operations.
  • Mitigate risks by implementing contingency plans and monitoring supplier performance.

Technology & Data Analytics:

  • Leverage technology, such as ERP systems, to improve visibility across the supply chain.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with procurement, projects, finance, and sales teams to ensure alignment and coordination across the supply chain.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor the supply chain team, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement, with a proven track record in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including demand planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., ERP, SAP) and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems efficiently, and make decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and global supply chain trends.
