Job Position: Project Engineer (Electrical)

Job Objective

  • Project role is to interface with technical partners during engineering, help dissect the engineering work into BOQs and Bill of Materials for ongoing procurement planning and eventually lead of up construction oversight.
  • Interpret E&I requirements for prospective and ongoing project.
  • Develop new suppliers locally and internationally.

Roles

  • E&I Engineering Components and Design related work.
  • E&I Project related clerical (paper) work.
  • Follow up with external and internal stake holders.

Job Description

  • Interface with our technical partners on design, and installation of the components on site.
  • Capital Project Support - Perform electrical & controls portion of Capital Projects. These duties may include, but not limited to, contractor management, planning and timeline assessments, cost evaluations, return-on-investment research, hands-on project execution, etc.
  • Support the Project Manager in the process of preparation of design deliverables with due consideration for applicable Codes & Standards.
  • Interface with project manager to reflect the as-on-date input from other departments, as applicable.
  • Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents / drawings before release at any Revision status.
  • Attend project review meetings.
  • Ensure to provide technical information and data to the Project Manager on the Manpower estimation, work planning / forecast and effective utilization of manpower, progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.
  • Coordination with the other Engineering disciplines, client and vendors.
  • Control of Quality of engineering documents with regard to Quality assurance basis.
  • Develop documentation for interlock testing and check out procedures
  • On time quality deliveries.
  • Source and Develop new suppliers from the abroad and locally.
  • Exploit market opportunities for the development of new vendors and Subcontractors in line with group and affiliate priorities.
  • To contribute to proactive and effective team working with group and project teams.
  • To promptly follow up with vendors and ensure business contacts are up-to-date and relationships properly managed.
  • Manages service contracts for performance, renewal, or extension. Reviews routine purchasing contracts for language compliance with Company requirements and negotiates with firms to resolve any basic terminology changes.
  • Assist technically in the completion of proposals and presentation for new business opportunities
  • Work with internal teams to deliver outstanding presentation to capture profitable business opportunity.
  • To maintain an excellent client relationship with existing and potential client.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess an OND / Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 4 years work experience.
