Green Concern for Development (GREENCODE) is a National registered NGO with CAC No: CAC/IT/NO 25643 and has been in operation for over 10 years. Our mission is to work with the poor and socially excluded people and government for the promotion of environmental and human rights protection in communities in Nigeria, aimed at poverty reduction through education, information sharing, research, trainings, and direct impact interventions are in humanitarian emergency response and development, with physical presence in Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Abuja, Cross River, Akwa Ibom states.

Job Summary

  • Under close supervision will perform entry level professional duties of moderate difficulty providing support to business meetings/training in various functional areas, field activities, finance and project.
  • Utilizes current organization-wide and/or department specific protocols to complete assignments.
  • Note: Specific activities vary by assignment.

Departments:

  • Finance, Project/Programs, Administration, Logistics, Procurement, Communications, Monitoring and Evaluation, HR.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support to ensure that the office/unit is always conducive for work.
  • Support to ensure the field and project activities are carried out successfully, and also proper reporting skills.
  • Analyzes, generates, and maintains records and other reference material necessary for departmental use.
  • Answers and makes phone calls, responds to program related questions, and keeps record of correspondence as appropriate.
  • Carries out financial support work for interns with Finance, Accounting and Economics certificate
  • Composes, types, and prints reports, general letters, spreadsheets, e-mail, and memoranda from rough drafts or general instructions, involving the assembly of data from computer and paper file or record sources.
  • Gathers and organizes data to provide information for departmental special projects or reports, basic arithmetic computations.
  • Assists in preparing written reports of meeting; accompany professional level employees on assignments, organize business meetings and workshops as necessary, sending invitations, collecting meeting materials, and taking minutes as directed.
  • First point of contact with clients or internal personnel to obtain basic information for departmental use.
  • Supports in data analysis, monitoring and evaluation as well as report writing for Interns in Monitoring and Evaluation unit
  • Gathers readily available information from office records to drafts e-mails, memos, and other documents.
  • Records and documents information accurately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A wide range of University or Polytechnic graduates with OND, NCE and B.Sc are considered based on specific needs of department such as: Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Health, Purchasing, Public Administration, Community Development and Communications.

Skills and Competencies:

  • All positions requires high level of integrity, report writing skills, team-building skills, ability to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
