Job Summary

• We’re looking for a skilled and creative YouTube/Podcast Video Editor to bring our content to life. You’ll be responsible for crafting high-quality episodes that engage, inform, and resonate with audiences.
• From refining audio and visuals to adding music, effects, and social clips, your editing will define the look, feel, and energy of our shows.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and enhance podcast and video episodes for clarity, flow, and audience engagement.
• Clean up audio, remove background noise, and balance sound levels for professional-quality output.
• Add intros, outros, sound effects, and background music to elevate the listener/viewer experience.
• Collaborate with hosts and producers to maintain tone, pacing, and storytelling direction.
• Create social media clips and short-form content from full episodes.
• Optimize content for platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
• Stay current with podcast/video trends and apply best practices for growth and engagement.
• Manage and organize media assets and episode archives efficiently.
• Ensure every episode aligns with brand standards and creative vision.

Requirements

• BSc, HND, or equivalent qualification in a related field.
• Proven experience editing podcasts or video content.
• Proficiency in tools like Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Audacity, Descript, or Premiere Pro.
• Strong grasp of sound design, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Meticulous attention to detail and sound quality.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects at once.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Portfolio showcasing previous podcast or YouTube editing work.
• Experience across multiple formats (interviews, panels, solo episodes, etc.).
• Familiarity with optimizing content for YouTube and social platforms.
• Understanding of copyright-safe music, SFX, and licensing.
