Job Overview


  • We are looking for a detail-oriented Account Officer to assist in our financial department.
  • The responsibilities of an Account Officer include assist with keeping of financial records, checking for inaccuracies in invoices, and handling queries on general accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile financial transactions and records on a daily basis.
  • Assist the financial controller in carrying out Bank Reconciliation
  • Analyzing account activities of various other departments of the organization.
  • Reviewing incoming and outgoing invoices.
  • Working in collaboration with Financial Controller, Auditors, and Cost Controller.
  • Making payments to various service providers.
  • Preparing and updating account payables and receivables.
  • Assist with managing financial records in compliance with tax and accounting laws.
  • Assist with handling of queries related to accounts.
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or Banking & Finance
  • 1 - 2 years experience as an Account/Finance Assistant.
  • Interested candidates should not be more than 30 years at the time of application.
  • A professional certificate such as ATSWA or ICAN (foundation or skill level) is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Working Knowledge of accounting software etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Good reasoning abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Ideal candidates should reside on the Island (Lekki, V.I, Ikoyi, Ajah etc.), Bariga or Iyana-Oworo axis.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of common IFRS standards, tax rates (Vat, WHT and Income Tax).
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Analytical & communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • N1,440,000 Annual Gross
  • Minimum of N100,000 Monthly net pay.
