Key Responsibilities
Daily Auditing and Revenue Control:


  • Daily Revenue Audit: Perform the daily income audit, reconciling Point-of-Sale (POS) system data with Property Management System (PMS) postings to ensure all revenue is accounted for and accurately classified.
  • Cash and Float Management: Reconcile daily cash receipts, bank deposits, and petty cash floats for various departments (Front Desk, F&B, Events). Investigate and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and distribute accurate invoices for corporate clients, groups, and direct billing accounts.

Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL) Support:

  • Vendor Processing: Assist with the accounts payable cycle, including verifying vendor invoices against purchase orders (POs) and goods received notes (GRNs).
  • Expense Data Entry: Accurately input daily financial transactions, journal entries, and revenue data into the accounting software (General Ledger).
  • Filing and Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous, organized, and confidential records of all financial documents, including invoices, payment vouchers, and tax receipts.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the collation of data required for local tax filings (e.g., VAT, consumption tax).
  • Reporting: Prepare basic daily and weekly financial reports as required by the Finance Manager (e.g., Daily Flash Report, Sales Summary).
  • Inventory Control: Participate in monthly inventory counts for F&B and other operational supplies, helping to calculate and track cost of goods sold (COGS).

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0–1 year of experience in an accounting or auditing function. Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience within a hospitality or retail environment is a distinct advantage.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level required).
  • Basic familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or a hotel-specific system).

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
