Job Position: Accountant / Auditor

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely management of our financial records, ensuring compliance with all accounting principles and regulations.
• You will play a key role in providing valuable financial insights to support informed decision-making throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements and other financial accounts.
• Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Stay informed of changes in accounting principles and regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure data integrity.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Must have relevant years of experience in an accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
