Job Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant, located in Ibadan. 

Responsibilities
The Accountantwill be responsible for:

• Preparing asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Summarizes currents financial status by collecting information; preparing statement of financial position, income statement and other reports.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursement.
• Pass necessary journal entries and prepare bank reconciliation statement every month
• Posting to General Ledger and Sub-Ledger
• Reconcile sub ledger balance with General Ledger.
• Prepare bank payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, journal vouchers.
• Get vouchers signed and forward to cashier.

Qualifications

• HND/B.Sc in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and managing Finance-related tasks
• Strong Analytical Skills for interpreting and analyzing financial data
• Excellent Customer Service skills to address client needs and queries
• Effective Communication skills for interaction with stakeholders
• Experience in using financial software and tools is a plus
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
