Brief Job Overview


  • We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our team, a professional responsible for overseeing the daily business financial operation.
  • He/ She will also assist in compliance with regulations and monitoring of internal controls within the Finance/Accounts Unit.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will (but not limited to):

  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Work with the CFO to develop Organizational financial strategy.
  • Supervise and review accounting practices.
  • Prepare timely monthly management account & financial statements. and support in year-end financial audits.
  • Work with Internal audit to review of all bank reconciliation and other exceptions.
  • Reconcile suppliers'/customers' accounts relating to Factory/Plant operations.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, partners, and other external stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Identify ways to improve daily financial efficiency, cutting costs and boosting businesses' profits.
  • Supervises the Team Lead within the finance function.
  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, and GL
  • Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition in line with standards
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and other financial forecasts including reporting their variances.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements and reports to senior management.
  • Research and resolve accounting issues and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage cash flow, invoicing, budgeting, forecasting, and procurement processes.
  • Monitor Tax Compliance; Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • A qualified chartered Accountant with 5-7 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing/export Industry
  • Should have strong experience in Technical Accounting, IFRS & GAAP Analysis, Taxation, Commercial Finance and Financial, Planning & Analysis roles.
  • Should possess strong Analytical skills, Strategic thinking & Leadership abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively will be an enhancer for this role, especially as part of a team.
  • ACCA/ICAN Professional Membership is required.
  • Must be able to use modern accounting software.

Required Competence:

  • Technical Accounting Skills.
  • Mastery of Accounting Principles.
  • Proven work experience as an Assistant Finance Manager or similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Relevant training and certifications.
  • Multi-tasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Key Deliverables:

  • Leadership: Ensure team involvement and accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of relevant reports.
  • Performance Officer: Be on track with robust and timely performance tracking. Ensure budgetary process improvements and achieve better predictability on outcomes.
  • Value Manager: Ensure & support value maximization initiatives (interest, Trade Finance, currency risk management, etc.)
  • Co-Strategist: As a Strategist, you will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to support and execute Company Financial strategies through value-adding decisions, superior data analytics and optimal drive of special projects to growth.
