We are a Retail Supermarket located in Jabi that provides exquisite groceries, baked goods, seafood items at competitive rates and provides great customer service as it is customer service centred.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Cashier

Job Location: Jabi, Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Brief

• Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, keeping track of all cash transactions.
• To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how point of sale systems operate.
• The job role also requires working weekends and closing late during shifts.
• Ultimately, you’ll ensure all transactions run smoothly and will help us maximize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage transactions with customers using point of sale system
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash, pos or transfers.
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Issue receipts and change.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Bag items
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.

Requirements and Skills

• High School Degree with at least 2 years of experience or OND with at least 1 year of experience.
• Work experience as a Retail Cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Good math skills.
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented.
