Job Description
- Our client is seeking an innovative Chief Executive Officer to co-develop the vision of the business and report to the board of directors.
- The CEO will be responsible for recommending strategy to the Board and will be accountable for the executing of said strategy.
- The CEO will be the head operator of the business, will be responsible for building the teams and systems required to achieve growth targets, and will do so within the working capital that has been contributed by the Board. There will be opportunity for additional funding should targets be met an a plan is brought forward to the board and approved.
- This will be a well funded venture as long as success targets are being met.
- This position requires someone with industry experience specific to the Nigerian market. Although well funded, this is effectively a startup and will require anindividual with go-to-market experience, building teams, and creating player-bases.
Areas of expertise should include:
Industry:
- Extensive experience in the iGaming sector
- Forward thinking gaming technology and user engagement. We are focusing on new markets so will need someone that can translate existing knowledge to a new market.
Growth:
- Go-to-Market: experience in taking ideas, developing go-to-market strategies, and executing through personal contributions and via a team
- Scaling: Track record of effectively scaling business operations. Financial
- iGaming Regulations: Knowledge of the regulatory environment in Nigeria
- Financial Management: Can develop and manage a budget
- Financial Modeling: Can develop and business models/projections Legal
- Risk Compliance: Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements and the effects on operations (Game providers, PSPs, etc..)
Marketing & Product:
- Localization: Knows the market and understands a mixture of destination, digital, and brand tactics that will resonate in Nigeria
- Product: Has an eye for product and can work with a technology team to develop and maintain an effective product for the Nigeria market
Negotiation:
- Partnership Building: Skilled in creating strategic alliances
- Commercials: Negotiating preferable rates with commercial providers.
