Job Position: Customs Liaison Officer

Job Summary

• As a Freight Forwarder with shipping and clearing experience, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the movement of goods and materials on behalf of clients.
• Your role includes overseeing the shipping and clearing process, ensuring compliance with Customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Customs Clearance and Documentation:

• Oversee customs clearance processes, ensuring adherence to applicable customs laws and regulations.
• Prepare, process, and organize customs documentation, including import/export declarations and permits.

NEPZA Knowledge and Liaison:

• Comprehensive understanding of NEPZA letter processing procedures.
• Serve as a liaison with customs authorities at the Lekki Free Zone, ensuring smooth operations.

Shipment Handling:

• Supervise the loading and offloading of shipments.
• Manage fleet and coordinate with transporters to optimize consignment transportation.

Import and Export Expertise:

• Apply in-depth knowledge of import and export shipment processing within the Lekki Free Zone.
• Facilitate accurate and efficient processing of import and export documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
• Minimum of three years of proven experience in shipping, clearing, and freight forwarding roles.
• Strong knowledge of shipping regulations and customs procedures.
• Proven experience in customs clearing, documentation, and handling import/export processes, preferably within the Lekki Free Zone.
• Experience in managing fleet and coordinating with transporters is highly desirable
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
