We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: English as a Second Language Teacher
Job Location: Abuja
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary
We Require:


  • An ESL teacher with high proficiency in the use of the English language to teach various age groups and courses: General English, Conversation, IELTS/TOEFL, Business English, Writing, Phonetics
  • Levels: elementary to proficiency A1-C2; Candidate should have excellent writing and speaking skills with great pronunciation. Knowledge of French or Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities
Typical tasks that should be carried out include:

  • Deliver high-quality general English lessons using varied communicative language teaching methods;
  • Working in strong collaboration with the school administrators, the teacher leader and colleagues;
  • Creating good rapport with students, peers and superiors;
  • Setting examination papers;
  • Marking and providing appropriate feedback on written exams;
  • Preparing students for English Examinations (IELTS/TOEFL, PET CAMBRIDGE)

As well as having the relevant qualifications and previous experience in similar positions candidates will need to show evidence of the following:

  • A friendly and confident manner
  • Flexibility and an adaptable teaching style.
  • Accepting to be observed and given feedback on how to teach the students in their classroom. Being open to suggestions and to trying new things to suit students needs;
  • Creative skills and ideas for planning practical and interesting lessons;
  • Understanding of the challenges the students may have to learning and what approaches might work best with them individually; Willingness to learn an additional language.
  • Applicants should be willing to work closely with their colleagues and the school administrators. Their work will be supervised by the teacher leader and the directors of the school who act as classroom supporters, resource providers, instructional specialists and mentors.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 1 - 3 years of experience.

Salary
N70,000 - N100,000 monthly.
