Job Position: Entry Level Insurance Claims Officer

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The claims officer will be responsible for reviewing client claims, determining allowable benefits, if necessary. The claims officer will be highly analytical, and possess in-depth knowledge of policies and regulations in the insurance industry.

Job Responsibilities

• Process new insurance claims notifications.
• Make recommendations for settlement of claims.
• Guide policy holder on how to proceed with a claim.
• Investigate potentially fraudulent claims.
• Monitor claims and decide whether they are covered by the policy.
• Provide advice on making a claim and the processes involved.
• Collect accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim.
• Ensure claims are fairly settled and excellent service to customers.
• Processing claims payment.
• Ensure evidence of payments/settlement is communicated to the policyholder in due time.
• Attend to phone and email enquiries regarding policyholder claims.
• Attend to all form of correspondence, filing and record maintenance associated with claims management.
• Liaise with claimants and update them throughout all stages of the claims.

Job Requirements

• Interested persons must have B.Sc. / HND in Insurance or Actuarial Science to be qualified.
• 0 - 2 years of work experience.
