Lopterra Services Limited - Our client has a credible history of organising and galvanising action for the enactment and formulation of legal and policy frameworks to advance gender equality and eliminate sexual and gender-based violence. They started operations in October 2017 to complement the program and policy efforts of the government in advancing intersectional gender equality and eliminating all forms of sexual and gender-based violence which undermine women's potential, agency, and freedom.

Job Position: Finance Officer
Job Location: Guzape, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
- Our client is seeking a dedicated finance officer whose responsibility will be to process financial transactions, support financial reporting, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures to facilitate effective financial management within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Transactions & Reporting
- Process all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner to ensure up-to-date financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of financial management reports to support decision-making.
- Maintain financial documentation to support audits and financial reviews.
Reconciliation & Payroll
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Process payroll, ensuring timely payment of salaries and statutory deductions.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns in compliance with legal requirements.
Budgeting & Compliance
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring based on cash flow projections.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, donor requirements, and procurement guidelines.
- Verify expenditures and payments, ensuring they align with approved budgets and procedures.
Regulatory & Donor Compliance
- Enforce compliance with financial policies and donor reporting requirements.
- Support the audit process by providing necessary financial documentation.
General Support & Representation
- Provide financial support to various departments as required.
- Represent the organization in financial meetings when assigned.
- Undertake any other related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager or senior management.
Qualifications & Skills
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial management.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, budgeting, and reporting.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA (or in progress) are an added advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office(e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
