We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Financial Accountant
Job Location: Festac -Amuwo Odofin, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).

General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile all general ledger accounts.
• Post journal entries and ensure accurate classification of transactions.

Budgeting & Forecasting Support:

• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget variances and prepare variance analysis reports.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight:

• Ensure invoices, payments, and receipts are accurately recorded.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.

Bank & Cash Reconciliation

• Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly bank reconciliation statements.
• Track cash flow and ensure proper cash management.

Compliance & Regulatory Reporting

• Ensure compliance with tax laws, statutory requirements, and regulatory filings.
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, WHT, and other tax returns (country-specific).

Internal Controls & Audit Support

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing documentation and explanations.

Asset & Inventory Accounting

• Maintain and update fixed asset registers.
• Monitor depreciation, impairment, and disposal of assets.

Financial Analysis

• Perform financial analysis to support management decision-making.
• Prepare profitability reports, cost analysis, and trend reports.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 6 - 7 experience.
