Job Description

• TYS is has a number of open positions to be filled within their organization, one of the most important ones at this time is the position of an accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Manage general ledger and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.
• Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payments, and collections.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Assist with budget preparation and monitor financial performance against budgets.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in [industry/sector].
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
