Role Summary

• The General Manager will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and business direction for the company’s financial technology and payment solutions division.
• The role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in FinTech, digital payments, financial services operations, and regulatory compliance.
• The GM will drive business growth, manage high-value projects, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure the company delivers secure, innovative, and customer-centric technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership:

• Develop and execute the company’s FinTech and payment systems business strategy in alignment with the company's vision and goals.
• Lead organizational growth through product innovation, market expansion, and partnerships.
• Provide leadership and direction to technical, operations, and commercial teams.

Business & Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the payment system and financial services business line.
• Ensure efficient delivery of solutions such as digital wallets, payment gateways, switching systems, mobile banking, agency banking, and related FinTech products.
• Drive operational excellence, process optimization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to meet revenue and profitability targets.

Product & Technology Oversight:

• Supervise product development lifecycles from conceptualization to deployment and continuous improvement.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure systems meet high standards for performance, scalability, and security.
• Monitor trends in digital payments, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform product roadmap decisions.

Business Development & Partnerships:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within financial services and payment sectors.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, regulators, and technology providers.
• Lead negotiations and contract management with clients, vendors, and partners.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure all products and operations comply with CBN regulations, data protection laws, and industry standards.
• Oversee risk management frameworks for payments, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
• Maintain strong internal controls and governance structures.

People Management;

• Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management to staff.
• Support recruitment, talent development, and retention strategies.
• Foster a high-performance, innovative, and collaborative workplace culture.

Qualifications & Experience
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA or MSc) is an added advantage.

Professional Experience

• 10–12 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within FinTech, payments, or financial services.
• Strong experience with payment systems, transaction processing, switching technologies, API integrations, and digital banking solutions.
• Proven record managing large-scale projects, operations, or technology products.

Skills & Competencies:

• Deep understanding of the Nigerian payments’ ecosystem and CBN regulatory frameworks.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to drive revenue and operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and financial risk management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Salary
N1,500,000 Monthly.
